Specification

This system is suitable for sheltered harbours and other sheltered locations where wave heights do not exceed 500mm. Above this wave height, our breakwater system can be used.

GRC (Glassfibre Reinforced Concrete) Decking

Design Live Loading: 4.0k/m² (standard walkways), 2.0kN/m² (finger walkways)

Concrete: Grade 40N

Reinforcement: GFRP Rebar or 5% AR Glassfibre

Thickness: 25mm min.

Surface finish: Smooth GRC

Colour: Tint of red - other colours available on request

Fixing: Fixed to frame using galvanised TEK-Screws

Galvanised Frame

Steel: Grade 43

Welding: All Welds - 6mm CFW

Galvanising: Hot-Dip galvanising to BS EN ISO 1461

Fendering: Yellow Balau or Douglas Fir

Connector: M24 galvanised bolts through 50mmUV stabilised rubber buffers 4 no. on main walkway units and 3 no. on fingers

Flotation Blocks

Skin: 10mm high strength sprayed glassfibre reinforced concrete

Filling: 15kg/m³ polystyrene

Brackets: Galvanised steel

Standard Freeboard: Approx. 500mm

Standard Minimum Buoyancy:

Main Walkways - 1.2kN/m²

Finger Walkways - 1.0kN/m²
